Homemade Pizza

 

Ingredients:

For the Dough:

• 3 cups (375 g) all-purpose flour

• 2¼ tsp (7 g) instant yeast

• 1 tsp sugar

• 1 tsp salt

• 2 tbsp olive oil

• 1 cup (240 ml) warm water

For the Topping::

• ½ cup pizza sauce

• 2 cups (200 g) shredded mozzarella cheese

• 15–20 pepperoni slices (optional)

• ½ cup sliced mushrooms

• ¼ cup sliced black olives

• ½ cup sliced bell peppers

• Fresh basil leaves (optional)

• 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms, then knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

3. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1–1½ hours or until doubled in size.

4. Punch down the dough and roll it into a 12-inch pizza base on a lightly floured surface.

5. Transfer to a pizza pan or baking tray. Spread pizza sauce evenly, sprinkle mozzarella cheese, and add your favorite toppings.

6. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top.

7. Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (425°F) for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

8. Garnish with fresh basil if desired. Slice and serve hot.
